Please help? Alberta Canada Honeymoon planning advice needed?
I am planning our honeymoon in Alberta,CAN.I am from calgary but my man is from texas. I have lived here for 12 yrs. I want to show him where I grew up so we decided to have our honeymoon in alberta. Mostly in the Banff area. We are leaving in the second week in May and I have no idea what we should do when we get there. I want to give him a true canadian experience. (outside the hotel room);P. Are there any places that y’all would recommend for honeymooners? I am thinking the Gondola in banff, going to Lake Louise, check out canmore..I am trying to remember everything we did when I was little. I just don’t know what to do there when we get there or where to stay that is reasonably priced. Things to see, Night life, little known places. If you can think of anything romantic to recommend please let me know.
The Columbia ice fields is always a neat day trip. There is something so Canadian about standing on a glacier in a t-shirt. There are also the hot spring. Not a big fan of banff hot spring, however the radium hot springs are quite nice. They are just in the inveremere valley in BC. Breath taking views. I would also recommend going to a helicopter or plane tour over the mountain, it is just and awe inspiring experience.
For a reasonably priced hotel I like a place called Irwins it is a little further down of the main stretch in banff. They tend to be very clean, bright and spacious rooms. At an affordable price (for banff).
